Hi Melissa,
I just wanted to say how much I appreciate your knowledge and talent as a massage therapist. Your massages have done so much for the physical rehabilitation of my hamstring injury.
As you know, I tore my hamstring where it connects at the bone in my right leg. The surgeon who looked at the xray said there was considerable scarring/scar tissue which is what was causing me so much pain and allowing very little flexibility. Well as fate would have it I met you when looking for someone to help me with the rehabilitation. After our first session I felt immediate increase in flexibility as well as a considerable reduction in pain. Even the next day I was able to stretch further with less pain.
Each session You spoke positively about the rehabilitation of my hamstring muscle and you explained what and how the muscles worked in conjunction with other muscles in my leg and back. It began to make sense to me as to why other areas in my body were also sore.
I believe it was your attitude and your encouraging words that assisted in the healing and lent to a quicker recovery. It took about 12 months for me to get back to where I was before the injury. The surgeon told me 12 months to probably 24 months (due to my age). Now I can play Ultimate Frisbee and Tennis again.
Today I am 43 years old and still able to run and be as active as I was when I was in college.

Melissa Strickland is my masseuse and great friend. I have 2 types of RA (rheumatoid arthritis) and am in pain most days.
